Craps Strategy

Craps is a game that does not just involve luck. Strategy is most definitely involved in playing Craps. Unlike other online casino games where luck is purely the main determinant, Craps takes gambling to a higher level. Though the power of the dice will in the end be the primary determining factor of the outcome, keep in mind that you should place your bet on a betting field that will be most beneficial to you according to your calculations.

Devising a strategy for Craps is not easy; you have to understand first the complex processes and payout conditions of the Craps table, and be as competitive as you can be against your opponents.

Calculate Beforehand

Before playing vigorously, you must first of all determine the amount of money you are willing to bet and up to how much you are willing to give out or lose. Often, players find themselves bankrupt when playing Craps even though they seemed to have been winning at first. The reason behind this is the lack of proper vision or the capacity to look beyond the potential of your initial bet. If you have, for example, already profited by at least 10%, then you should stop. In Craps, your money can vanish as fast as it appeared. If you begin losing drastically after a few rounds’ win, then it might also be the perfect time to stop. A gradual downfall will lead to an eventual downfall.

Familiarize Yourself with the Craps Table

Before anything else, you must first understand what every betting corner stands for. Sure, you know that there’s a demarcation line that divides between Pass and Don’t Pass bets. But do you actually know what gains and profits you might get by betting on any one of the bets? Probably not.

In order to develop an effective strategy, you can’t just rely on your instinct and bet on the betting corner that might or might not produce a Point. Once you familiarize yourself with the different betting options in the Craps table, devising a strategy would be easier.

Take for example the Pass Line bet. You already know what a Pass Line bet is (a bet made in favor of the shooter). If many Points have been taken, then the chances that a Pass Line bet will succeed are maximized. This will be the best opportunity for you to place a maximum bet on the Pass Line bet.

Wage little by little

Don’t give everything away in one go. If you do this, you risk the chance of going home without anything at all. A commonly effective strategy in playing Craps is wagering the minimum bet first. If you keep on winning, multiply your bet twice. Do this until the bet you will be placing have reached five times the original minimum bet. This way, you don’t run the risk of readily betting all the money you have. Even when you lose the bet you’ve placed, you still don’t lose your initial sum of money. If you calculate it carefully, the only loss you will be experiencing is the minimum bet you placed at the beginning of the game. Keep on doing this until you win, and until you get satisfied with your winnings.
